Preliminary examination of the metallic scales: metallic line indicated as "Linea Metallorum". Quicksilver indicated with an abbreviation looking like a greek ro letter surmounted by a "u," followed by "Silb". On the other side of the sector, scales for the weight of lead ("Pley"), iron ("Eisen") and stone ("Stein") balls, on the upper limb for "Hessisch Gewicht", on the bottom limb for "Nurnberger Gewicht"
