Preliminary examination of the metallic scales: No inscription about instrument maker. Planetary symbols on the metal scale, indicated a "les Metaux". It seems like good workmanship. Two other scales, unusually on the two external faces of the limb, and not on the bottom of the limb. Not seen in any other exemplar. "Diamettres et poids des boulets" and "Calibres des Piecs". Quite large fonts, a digit is about 2,5mm high.
